An ERP implementation under high pressure, hundreds of technicians and internal colleagues, and a tight deadline: thanks to targeted training and custom materials from Axelio Academy, Pon Power went live with NAXT and scored a solid 10.
Pon Power is a dealer of Caterpillar machines and engines. Pon Power has chosen the ERP system 'NAXT'. A system based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, tailored to the world Peter Kalisvaart, Digital Lead at Pon Power, operates in, where Caterpillar is active. To ensure that this system is used correctly, Peter Kalisvaart, the Digital Lead at Pon Power, contacted Axelio Academy, formerly Mprise. 'Over 200 field and internal technicians and about 100 internal colleagues received training. Without this training, we wouldn't have been able to go live. Axelio created the training materials in a very short time that were used by instructors. What we had envisioned at the front end worked out excellently.'
The importance of the training was very high. In addition to the large group of end-users that needed training, there was also a lot of pressure on this training trajectory. Peter says: 'We were incredibly well supported under a lot of stress. An ERP implementation is a huge project. The entire administration is transitioning to a new system, while the work for Service must continue. At the same time, our service colleagues have to work with a system they are not yet familiar with. Therefore, training is an essential part of the implementation. We chose to have the training conducted by professional trainers. There was simply no time left for training. The development of the training materials was also done by the trainers.'
From Axelio, all training materials have been bundled into branded 'training magazines'. Completely in the style of Pon Power, so that every user recognizes the company's own look and feel.
Within the Axelio Academy, we mainly deal with key users. They generally work in the office. However, this was different during this project. Our trainers were facing technicians. 'Using a real training schedule, all field technicians were trained in working with a new (mobile) software solution. The technicians were assigned orders in a training database that they had to process as if they were working. Including reports, hours, and writing invoices. The classes, averaging 10 technicians, all received 2 days of training,' says Peter. This way, a large number of people were trained in a short time.

Axelio Academy offers over 80 training sessions around the Microsoft Dynamics domain. Thanks to the years of experience of the trainers, we can easily make adjustments or additions to the training to ensure that your processes are also covered. In the case of Pon Power, this was also the case. 'Axelio used its standard approach as a guideline, whereby we jointly arrived at the right scope. Convenient because this way we could think about all aspects of a training and decide whether to include or use them. The time for creating the trainings was under a lot of pressure. So it's easy to make a flying start,' says Peter about the preparation and development of the training materials.
'Axelio was recommended by several experienced consultants. We were looking for professional trainers. After an exploratory conversation, we jointly determined the scope and volume, and after mutual agreement, Axelio got to work. To our complete satisfaction!
With the knowledge that the trainers also had to learn the NAXT package and develop the training materials in just a few weeks, Axelio receives a solid 10,' concludes Peter.
